Write Up:
A pre-hike the day before the event revealed that critical portions of the route were covered with steep snow and blocked by deep moats. Thus it was decided to cancel the event. The race to St Mary for internet access was slowed by road-construction delays, but the message was received in time by all but two hikers, who were able to find alternative activities in the area.
