I took over coordinating this climb for another member who had to cancel. I had never taking the saddle route up Oberlin before so was looking forward to this. It was a beautiful morning and all but one person showed up at the appointed meeting place. Having done the boring screen route in the past I wasn't expecting much, but the route was much more fun than I had anticipated. Everyone seemed to have a great time. We didn't get to spend much time on the summit however. Thunderstorms were predicted for early afternoon and on arrival we saw a storm moving fast in the distance. But it never hit, must have moved north of us as we just had a little sprinkle. Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album? Please forward them to Tim Anderson at twamontana@gmail.com. Please note that we prefer to receive the photos in approximately 640x480 or 750x500 pixels - do NOT send original high-res photos. If you have a LOT of photos, please submit up to twenty of your favorites (only) for a day event, or up to forty of your favourites for a multi-day event. Thank you. |
