Coordinator(s): David Schuler
Participants:David Schuler, Ken McDermott, James Hulvat, Ray Allen, Dee Blank, Paul Cogswell

Write Up:
Mount Frazier is on the eastern boundary of the Bob Marshall Wilderness about 25 miles west of Bynum, MT and on the divide between Blackleaf Creek and the South Fork of Dupuyer Creek. Six GMS climbers climbed Mount Frazier: David Schuler, James Hulvat, Dee Blank, Ken McDermott, Paul Cogswell, and Ray Allen. We started at the Blackleaf Campground on trial 106 and hike down the trail 2.5 miles. The started our accent on the south ridge for about 1 mile to the summit. Fossil shells and coral along this ridge were numerous. The south ridge is class 3 with stable footing. We ascended on west ridge, class 2 with scree and talus. There was some packed snow patches in the drainage basin were some of the GMS climbers demonstrated their skiing skills. We could not have asked for better weather in the 70’s and clear sky. Total distance of 7.4 miles, Elevation gain: 3263 ft. Summit GPS: 8202 ft. Thanks to the team we had an awesome day.
