This GMS event consisted of a hike to the saddle between Mt Clements and Oberlin, a descent into the cirque above Bird Woman Falls, and finally a climb to the highest point on the ridge northeast of Mount Cannon. This area provides a combination of hiking on glacial moraine, crossing a beautiful cirque having a combination of large red boulders and small streams surrounded by lush meadows. Finally, there was the climb out to the high point with great views of McDonald Valley and the Going to the Sun Road. The pace was relaxed and enjoyed by all. Highlight of the trip was a grizzly sighting in the stream below the glacial moraine. Those participating were Robin Young, Jim Schroader, Phalen and Connie Schuler, Trever and Sutter Stolte, John Barnes and coordinator Darrel Coverdell Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album? Please forward them to Tim Anderson at twamontana@gmail.com. Please note that we prefer to receive the photos in approximately 640x480 or 750x500 pixels - do NOT send original high-res photos.
