Write Up:
We got an early start and made it from the Loop to the Ahern Drift by 11:30. Getting thru the two sets of cliff bands was straight forward. Then the scree got looser and the wind started howling, but we pressed on to the top. The wind lessened and the views were unbelievable. We dropped down and over to South Iceberg, then followed the ridge to a location where we could drop back down to the Highline Trail and back to the Loop. Thirteen hours with lots of trail miles and elevation gain, but worth the effort.
