Rockwell is a classic Glacier peak that did not disappoint. An enthusiastic crew consisting of Kim Davis, Ken McDermott, Carly Putnam, Robin Young, Rodney Faulkenberg, Don Arthur, Scott Pomeroy, Pete Metz maker, David & Stacey Endebrock met at the Two Medicine boat dock and headed up the south lake trail at 8am. The weather was cool and partly sunny, ideal for the hike up to the pass. Once we reached the pass the wind greeted us with force. Jackets, hats and gloves added; we were on our way to the summit. The scramble to the top was fun and we enjoyed gorgeous views, a relaxing lunch and plenty if photo opps. Clouds began to darken so we headed down and made it back to the pass before we all received a good drenching. By the time we arrived back to Cobalt lake the skies were bright blue. A few more brief showers on the hike down and a big bull moose to watch along the way. A nice tailgate was enjoyed by the group with homemade salsa and pasta salad.
