Sat, Jul 25 2015 - Wynn Mountain (View Original Event Details)

Coordinator(s): Bill Haring
Participants:Bill Haring, Ken Meckel, Catherine OMara

Write Up:
On a stormy day we hiked up the Cracker Lake Trail to Canyon Creek. A nice rock climb up the canyon for a thousand feet. A 2,000 foot rock and scree climb up to the ridge, and a ridge walk to the summit of Wynn. Than the fun begins! The wind is blowing 30 miles an hour or more. We have a quick lunch just below the summit. As soon as we start down the rain comes down sideways and it is difficult to see our way. Rain storm only lasts twenty minutes, but we have another two quick rain and wind storms. This makes the rocks in the canyon a challenge, but we get safely to the trailhead at 6PM Catherine OMara, Adam Meckel, Ken Meckel and Bill Haring
