Write Up:
We had perfect weather and trail conditions for our hike to the summit of Mount Furlong. The trail gains 3700' in 4 miles and there are no switchbacks, so it's a good workout. Appears to be the site of a former lookout. Nice views in all directions. For variety we took the ridge down from the summit rather than following the trail back to the saddle.
