Weather in Montana is unpredictable, on this day there was a Winter advisory, but the Friday night news weather report stated it will not have any impact on things. We started out with temperatures in the high 20’s with wet snow conditions. We made the two-mile trek to the Fielding Patrol cabin where we started our accent to summit. Along the way the winds increased, temperature dropped, and the snow was firming up, snow was falling. We made it almost the ridge were we were going to walk over to summit, With the winds and bitter cold, and 4 to 5 feet snow drifts, wind packed snow, it was not safe to continue so we returned. There is never a bad day in the park. We all had a great time in snow. The mountain will be there to summit at another time. Summit List: (Left to Right) April Seubert, Gary Seubert, Stacey Endebrock, David Endebrock, Craig Parmelee, Kim Davis (In the Back), David Schuler Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album?
