Coordinator(s): Bill Krause
Participants:Bill Krause, Ralph Thornton, Ron Gruber, Bill Schulz, Sue Braastad, Elizabeth Pikal, Justin Hollister, Ryker McIntyre, Paul Okerberg, Patrick Dryden

Write Up:
Ten GMS members successfully summited Grizzly Mountain after an early morning departure from Two Medicine Lake. The summit views were grand, but a lengthy descent remained. After regrouping atop Chief Lodgepole Peak, four members (Justin, Elizabeth, Ryker and Paul) traversed the ridgeline to the east and climbed Painted Tepee Peak. They then descended directly to Cobalt Lake and reunited with other climbers on the main trail. Below Rockwell Falls, most of us encountered two bull moose just feet from the trail. Due to the proximity, passing the younger of the two moose caused some anxiety, but “bull-whispering” provided the requisite comfort to human and beast. The final obstacles were a soaking rainstorm and drubbing hailstorm which reminded us we were adventuring in the northern Rockies. We were Sue Braastad, Patrick Dryden, Ron Gruber, Justin Hollister, Ryker McIntyre, Paul Okerberg, Elizabeth Pikal, Bill Schulz, Ralph Thornton and Bill Krause. Kudos to Ron for co-leading this trip on short notice!
