Write Up:
A grand day with a fabulous group. We parked vehicles the night before at Two Medicine to save time in the morning. We started early at the Firebrand Pass trailhead. The group was talkative and the trail and scramble up Firebrand Pass to the summit of Red Crow went quickly. A nice break to take in he views and snack and we were off to Bearhead. The wind was brisk!!! The trail was straight forward to Dasonto Pass and from here it was a scramble to the summit of Bearhead. A nice break and of course more snacking. Continuing across Bearhead, down ton the saddle and then up to the summit of Ellswerth. We split into small groups to descend a scree filled gully into Aster Park to avoid potential rock fall. Aster Park was beautiful and there was a lot of evidence of bear activity. The falls were a welcome site after some bushwhacking. We were back to the vehicles and our tailgate well before the setting sun.
