The trip to the top of Gibralter is in the forest the entire way. We had nice weather and cool breezes, so the 3400' of elevation was not near as hard as it might be on a hot day. Nice views of the surrounding mountains, valleys and lakes from the top. A very pleasant hike with no one else on the trail. A great hike for those looking to avoid the crowds of GNP. Took us 4 hours to go up and 2.5 back down. Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album? Please forward them to Tim Anderson at twamontana@gmail.com. Please note that we prefer to receive the photos in approximately 640x480 or 750x500 pixels - do NOT send original high-res photos. If you have a LOT of photos, please submit up to twenty of your favorites (only) for a day event, or up to forty of your favourites for a multi-day event. Thank you. |
