Write Up:
On a day that looked like we might have dreadful weather, we lucked out as we hiked up the Two Medicine Pass Trail, past Cobalt Lake and on to Chief Lodgepole Peak. From there we headed off trail to Painted Tepee Peak when the skies cleared for a while resulting in a stunning rainbow after we reached the "balanced rock" just below the summit. Two of us, Kim Davis and Steve Patitsas, journeyed across/by the bridge to the nearby summit. We returned the same way. According to GPS: 19.8 miles, 4400 ft total elevation gain. Climb list: Kim Davis, Paul Erler, Ginger Flesch, Pat Keane-Richmond, Steve Patitsas, and Jaye Sedlack.
