Write Up:
A gorgeous day with a fantastic group. We met at the new Apgar visitor center at 10am. A bit chilly at first, but the sun was shining and skies brilliant blue. We put on our micro spikes, which all that was needed for the day, and took the trail to Apgar Village, trail to the bridge and on to the Fish creek trail. Down to the lake shore and up the nature loop before reaching Rocky Point. The views of the mountains were spectacular. Lunch on the lake shore and back the way we came. 7 miles of relaxing walking. We then all went to Apgar picnic area and had a lovely campfire, smores, abundant snacks and great visiting.
