We climbed Kupunkamint Mountain with a great group up the large bowl to the southwest of the peak. We took the Cutbank trail for about a mile before heading into mile plus of bushwhacking to head up the large, mostly dry SW bowl. We reached the ridge to the west of the summit and had a lovely walk to the summit. On the descent, from the bottom of the bowl we tried the bushwhack further to the west to return to the trail. About 8.5 miles and 3,700 feet of elevation gain. Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album? Please forward them to Tim Anderson at twamontana@gmail.com. Please note that we prefer to receive the photos in approximately 640x480 or 750x500 pixels - do NOT send original high-res photos. If you have a LOT of photos, please submit up to twenty of your favorites (only) for a day event, or up to forty of your favourites for a multi-day event. Thank you. |
