Write Up:
We climbed Kupunkamint Mountain with a great group up the large bowl to the southwest of the peak. We took the Cutbank trail for about a mile before heading into mile plus of bushwhacking to head up the large, mostly dry SW bowl. We reached the ridge to the west of the summit and had a lovely walk to the summit. On the descent, from the bottom of the bowl we tried the bushwhack further to the west to return to the trail. About 8.5 miles and 3,700 feet of elevation gain.
