Write Up:
What a fantastic day! It was an early start with Dell and Gail Meuchel, Laurel Vielle, Claire DeHaan,John Reynolds, Paul Okerberg,Jason Wilkes, Don Arthur, Elizabeth Pikal, Justin Hollister, David and Stacey Endebrock as we met at the Cutbank Ranger Station at 6am and headed up the Boundary trail. It was a mile of uphill bushwhacking and then we broke out onto the grassy ridge. Helmets were on as we scrambled up to the ridge of Mad Wolf. The summit provided excellent views and a chance to snack! A long, panoramic ridge walk to Eagle Plume and up our second summit. Snack time! then a traverse to Bad Marriage, a careful descent down a scree shute to the dry creek in the basin. We relaxed and replenished our water at a beautiful waterfall before our traverse of the large boulder field at the base of Mad Wolf. Our Boudary trail bushwhack and a walk to the campground for our tailgate.
