In spite of the smoke moving into the Flathead Valley, we had a great day of climbing! High cloud cover blocked the sun for most of the day, and there was a nice breeze as well. Left the trailhead at 8:00am and summited at 12:30pm. During our nearly 1 hour lunch at the summit, we watched a grizzly digging for moths in the shale next to the snow field below the summit. Returned to the trailhead around 4:00pm to drinks and snacks, and tourist watching.
