The forecast had promised a mostly sunny day, but we didn't see the sun until mid afternoon when were finishing up. We started our trek at 8am, a crisp fall morning with bright yellow in the leaves. About 1 hour in to the hike we started to encounter snow and ice on the trail which got deeper as we gained elevation until we were seeing close to one foot of snow near the top. We summited right at noon. Lunch at the top was short, it was cold with a good steady breeze, no one wanted to hang around for too long. The trip down was much faster getting back to the parking lot around 3pm. We sat round the parking lot for about an hour soaking in the sun shine and enjoying the zucchini muffins Stacey had brought. 13miles round trip, with about 5000ft vertical Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album?
