Write Up:
We had a nice group eager to reach a new summit for us all. Started at the Cutbank campground trailhead and hiked down the Pitamakin pass trail to the second creek crossing. Followed the drainage Northwest. There was a short bushwack through wet brush and we were to the ridge of Kupunkamint. Climbed the ridge north and then east to the summit. The clouds lifted which revealed a nice view. We took the large bowl on the south of the mountain.. It was a nice scree run and then we headed back to the trail through open terrain and a short easy bushwack. Nine miles and 3500+ vertical day with homemade icecream at our tailgat party.
