7 miles, 2000 ft ascent, 5.5 hours. Trip Leaders: Brenda Winkler and Bruce Lieffring Dropped a car at pullout on GTTS Road, 2 miles southwest of the Lincoln Lake trailhead. Began hike at 10:00 am on the Lincoln Lake trail. Easy snowshoe on packed trail approximatley 1.7 miles up to Snyder Ridge, then broke trail west traversing through the burn area along the ridgline. Stopped for lunch. At 2:00 began our descent down from the highpoint. Lots of deadfall, jumping off logs in 6 to 8 feet of snow. Last of the party reached the car at 3:25. Tough going downhill but everyone took it in stride with the exception of one member who had an old/bad knee and struggled a bit. Pictures loaded on facebook.
