Weather was just about perfect for us, if anything it was too sunny and too warm, Snow pack is a little shy this year, I can only think if one time in the last 10 years of doing this event where we had less snow.on the same weekend. We had a small crew of 8. Because the trail was mostly clear of snow we elected to do a full loop this year. Hiking up via the normal trail, then going cross country through the ghost forest for our trip down. Plenty of Grizzly sign, Tracks everywhere in the snow and fresh dig along the trail. We had a nice lunch at the Chalet. A small black bear was seen in a tree just below the tunnel creating a photo opportunity for many. Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album? Please forward them to Tim Anderson at twamontana@gmail.com. Please note that we prefer to receive the photos in approximately 640x480 or 750x500 pixels - do NOT send original high-res photos. If you have a LOT of photos, please submit up to twenty of your favorites (only) for a day event, or up to forty of your favourites for a multi-day event. Thank you. |
