REPORT: MAY 25 (SATURDAY) OUSEL PEAK 7,157 feet Five people hiked to Ousel Peak on a cloudy day that threatened rain. They were met with deep snow a third of the way from the top and completed the hike on snowshoes. Instead of following the standard route around the west side of the peak, which seemed problematic given the snow and exposure, the group went straight up the ridge through the trees. On the way down, the skies opened to the sun and briefly presented a panorama of Glacier Peaks. After a warm, pleasant 5 1/2 hour hike, the rain finally started as everyone departed for home.

Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album? Please forward them to Tim Anderson at twamontana@gmail.com. Please note that we prefer to receive the photos in approximately 640x480 or 750x500 pixels - do NOT send original high-res photos. If you have a LOT of photos, please submit up to twenty of your favorites (only) for a day event, or up to forty of your favourites for a multi-day event. Thank you.
