Jim Boyer, Caroline Clemans, Dennis Eaves, Steve Watters, Rick Murphy, Anna Warren, Ian MacCallum, Jane Hunt, Allison McCarty, Scott Roskum, Sue Shannon. A great start for the day despite mosquitoes... We traveled through forest, creek and spring related lush areas and open montane hills. There was an incredible variety in each of these areas. Everyone had something to share with a plant sighting, either something they knew or discovered something new! The Bitterroot was just beginning to bloom, it will be quite a show in the next week or so. A shout out to Anna Warren who helped make the trip special with her knowledge and enthusiasm. We had a Black Bear sighting... lots of bear activity - bear digs... we detoured around the bear. Many thanks to Jim for keeping us on the right route as most of us had our sights on the wildflowers at our feet! We had a nice tailgate with some cool drinks and chips and Rhubarb cake and recapped the day before heading home. Thank you to everyone for the carpooling and shuttles that made it all a great day. Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album? Please forward them to Tim Anderson at twamontana@gmail.com.
