Write Up:
We had a great hike from the Jackson Glacier Overlook to Gunslight Lake, then to Gunsight Pass where a family of goats were enjoying a snow field, then down and around Lake Ellen Wilson and up to Lincoln Pass and Lincoln Peak. We got to see the work going on to rebuild Sperry Chalet as we traveled by. The last 6 miles from Sperry Chalet to the Lake McDonald parking lot were almost completely without shade due to the fires two years ago. Beautiful scenery for a day hike or a 3 night backpack.
