Write Up:
Five members and a guest hiked the Grand Tour route of Reynolds Mountain. It was a perfect day with sunny, clear skies and a light breeze to keep the heat at bay. Once up the couloir, the group chose to hike around the ridge below the summit wall until they reached the goat trail across the north face. After turning the east corner to the steep scree slope, two members headed up the east couloir to the peak and waited there for the the rest to complete the traditional Grand Tour route up the southwest summit ridge. After a leisurely lunch enjoying the sights, everyone descended the southwestern talus route. Reynolds' wonderful mix of climbing and views were enjoyed by Rob Bates, Dennis Eaves, Mike Griffith, Dennis Lauzon, Paul Okerberg, and Mike Contrada.
