Write Up:
We started our hike at Vermillion Pass, 6000'. Our first peak, Vermillion Peak, had a trail to the top which we used on the way down, but not up. Some up and down hiking brought us to Slide Rock Mountain which we climbed by going up the large scree. Another 45 minutes of hiking brought us to the top of Seven Point Mountain. A nice area of the Cabinet Mountains which had areas of recent burns. The majority of the trail was in shade, a great help on this hot day.
