Write Up:
Elk Mountain (7836 feet). Snowshoe hike to the summit of Elk Mountain in Glacier Nation Park. The day started with a cold front moving into the area with snow in the morning. Just before noon the skies opened to a beautiful blue-sky day and no wind. Greg Notess, Carmel Johnson, and David Schuler summit the mountain with over 7.4 miles and 3500 feet of elevation gain.
