Great weather, great group, great mountain 12.5 hours, 10.5 moving time, 20.9 miles, 5830 ft elevation gain Mike Contrada, Cindy Weaver, Eric Smart, Paul Okerberg, Dave Archibald, Dennis Eaves, Amanda Marlin During our outing, we survived a young mom grizzly with two cubs on the trail (way too close); the Ahern Drift - where everyone thought Mike was stretching his back but was actually hanging by his fingertips for several minutes on the drift trying to get everything set up for us to have safe travel across; and it was uphill all the way to the peak and somehow uphill most of the way back! Eric's trekking poles were delicious for the marmots and we also got Amanda to the Chalet's executive outhouse. Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album? Please forward them to Tim Anderson at twamontana@gmail.com. Please note that we prefer to receive the photos in approximately 640x480 or 750x500 pixels - do NOT send original high-res photos. If you have a LOT of photos, please submit up to twenty of your favorites (only) for a day event, or up to forty of your favourites for a multi-day event. Thank you. |
