Five GMS'ers and two guests were along for the ski to Hidden Meadow. We started up the Inside North Fork Road right at 9am and the temperature was slightly above freezing. The crew made it Lone Pine Prairie in just over a hour- where we took a snack break. Then we proceeded up the trail to Hidden Meadow. Once at Hidden Meadow, we had lunch and then some of the group went and checked out Hidden Meadow Lake. It was a good ski down the hill (slightly steep in a couple spots) back to the Inside North Fork Road. Once back on the road, we retraced our ski tracks back towards Polebridge. After reaching the Covey Meadow trailhead on the road, we decided that adding that to the trip would be worth it- so we went and checked it out. Total mileage for the day was 10.25 miles with about 800 feet of elevation gain and the trip took right at 5 hours. It was a great start to 2021!
