Like the approach for Rockwell, we hiked the Two Medicine South Shore trail towards Two Medicine Pass. From the saddle where the trail continues towards Chief Lodgepole, we followed the climbers trail west to the southern arm of Rockwell and traverse the slopes to reach the saddle north of Aurice Lake. From there, it was a steep walk up to the east and then north to Rising Bull Ridge. On the return, we dropped down to Aurice Lake and found the traverse easier, despite the extra elevation.
A longer write up of the history of Rising Bull Ridge, our route, and the trip will be in the 2022 GMS Journal.
