We started at 7am in the dark walking the road around the north side of McDonald Lake. The road was hard packed so we didn't need snowshoes until we reached the the trail head, just about sunrise. The weather started out nice but degraded as the day went on, ending in some heavy wet snow. We had 3 on skis and 7 on snowshoes. Things went quick and smooth up to the ridge then slowed down a little when it got steep. The upper part was the ridge was a little scary. Huge cornices made it hard to tell where the actual ridge was. Everyone had a great time. Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album?
