After cancelling a Floral Park trip on the previous day due to torrential rain, our group started in the early morning fog. It was a wet bushwhack up to the saddle above Floral Park, and fortunately, we had just enough clearing to see Floral Park and Lake Mary Baker so that we made the correct descent from that saddle. After crossing the lower end of the Sperry Glacier basin amidst many gorgeous ponds, we got to Comeau Pass just as the clouds cleared even further. After a quick stop at the recently rebuilt Sperry Chalet (for some of us) the descent gave us a chance to dry off and warm up at the end of a long day. Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album? Please forward them to Tim Anderson at twamontana@gmail.com. Please note that we prefer to receive the photos in approximately 640x480 or 750x500 pixels - do NOT send original high-res photos. If you have a LOT of photos, please submit up to twenty of your favorites (only) for a day event, or up to forty of your favourites for a multi-day event. Thank you. |
