Write Up:
This started and ended as a clear, sunny day as we met at the Swiftcurrent Trailhead. We were met with a surprise when we started our off trail to Shangrila as a sign was posted that Iceberg Lake Trail was closed due to bear activity. We continued on our way across a stream and up the cliffs. We made it to Shangrila Lake and several members enjoyed a dip. We dried off and made our way to the top of the overlook looking down on Iceberg Lake. Beautiful views and great company made this a memorable trip for my first climb coordinated. Climbers were Stephanie Cavalea, Brennan Goldade, Bria Goldade, Lori Niebaum, Lydia Ringstaff, Joseph Jimenez, Michael Raymond, Sam Kellogg, Cole Nichols and Greg Pagano.
