Write Up:
Climb of Reynolds Diagonal. August 16, 2022 A wonderful day in the mountains with a group of eight great people. We got into the park before 6 AM (so did not need tickets) and then waited until 6AM for the construction closure to be lifted. We were in the Logan Pass parking lot after 7 AM so we were tardy on our meet time. It must have been around 8 AM before we left the visitor center. There was a patch of snow on the diagonal that we easily got around, some below the snow and some between the cliff and the snow. After turning the corner on to the east side we had to traverse another two patches of snow to get on the east face couloir route. We ascended this route in two groups of four to minimize rock fall danger. We summited in beautiful sunshine and breezy conditions. The party descended the south side traditional route.
