Write Up:
Patrol Mountain (8015 Feet) Glacier Mountaineering Society members and guest hiked 12.1 miles to summit from the Benchmark campground with 2940 feet of elevation gain. It was a warm day with overcast skies on climb up. Partly sunny on the way down. Little over two miles into the hike we forded Straight Creek and started our accent to the summit. Got to Honeymoon basin the cirque before our final push to the summit. Got to the summit had a wonderful time with Samsara Duffey, US Forest Service Lookout attendant and her border collie mix Mae. Finished the day at the campground with dinner and great night rest camping out.
