We had a very pleasant walk among the flowers. Started 6.5 miles east of Marias Pass. It is about a mile to the largest lake and from there we ascended the ridge to the east of the lake. Followed that ridge to it southernmost high point then angled back into the drainage below where we came in. Found a good trail to the ridge on the other side of the drainage and walked that to some ponds. We descended a slope back toward the trailhead. Mostly overcast, lots of recent bear diggings. 6.5 miles and around 1500ft of elevation. Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album? Please forward them to Tim Anderson at twamontana@gmail.com. Please note that we prefer to receive the photos in approximately 640x480 or 750x500 pixels - do NOT send original high-res photos. If you have a LOT of photos, please submit up to twenty of your favorites (only) for a day event, or up to forty of your favourites for a multi-day event. Thank you. |
