It was a clear and moderately blustery day. We hike to about a mile above the Firebrand/Autumn creek junction, leaving the trail at the"railroad spike" marker. The ascent up the northeast ridge of Calf Robe was scenic and without challenges. Followed scree path down to Firebrand Pass and then up to Red Crow via the ridge leading north. On the descent we left that ridge above the pass, scrambling into the meadow east of the Lena Lake drainage and rejoining the trail less than a mile from where we had left it in the morning. Excellent flowers and a couple of sheep highlighted our flora and fauna sightings. Michelle Fauth, Lori Niebaum, Stephanie Yancho, Kate Kendall, Mason Fauth, Cindy Weaver, Cole Schneider, Michael Raymond, Dennis Eaves, Chris Horton, Emmet Berg and George Scherman. 12.5 miles and just under 4300 feet in elevation.
