Write Up:
This trip turned out to be a taste of late fall, only early. Lou Hatch, Matt Kerezsi, Gail and Dell Meuchel summited Cherry Mountain located a little south east of Thompson Falls. The morning was blustery with low clouds and a steady cold wind. There was a dusting of snow on Cherry as we ventured forward. At the summit the trees were transformed into snow ghosts from the previous night's snow and wind. Really quite beautiful. Cherry is the highest mountain in the Coeur d'Alene Range. An excellent outing for all.
