Write Up:
Good long day in the Missions to bag Panoramic Peak. About 14 miles and around 4500 vert, a little under 12 hours car to car. Trail to Crescent Lakes was cruisy. Bushwhack to Island Lake was mildly annoying but not the worst schwack ever as these things go. Adam and Jason did a great job of keeping us on the intermittent use trail for a good bit on the way out. Climb from Island Lake was slabby with a couple light class 3 cliffs lower down, then just straight class 2 ridge walking to the summit. The lower portion wouldn’t be great if it was wet. So many lakes viewable from the summit, and a number of the big Mission peaks. Very cool area. Thanks to Adam/Jason/Lou for being GREAT climbing partners, as per usual.
