We forded a very murky upper McDonald Creek (likely due to a landslide far up Mineral Creek) to gain access to the long bushwhack up to the basin between Vaught and McPartland. Not only is the bushwhack rather dense at times, it is also quite steep, and we had to negotiate some interesting class 3 cliffs in the brush. From the lovely basin, we then ascended to the saddle and on to the peak, before returning the way we'd come. Long day, with a great group! Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album? Please forward them to Tim Anderson at twamontana@gmail.com. Please note that we prefer to receive the photos in approximately 640x480 or 750x500 pixels - do NOT send original high-res photos. If you have a LOT of photos, please submit up to twenty of your favorites (only) for a day event, or up to forty of your favourites for a multi-day event. Thank you. |
