Despite a chilly day, GMS members had a great wildflower walk along the Oxbow Loop from Apgar and then part of the South Boundary Trail from the old West Glacier bridge. We had lunch in between those two strolls and discovered many of the same plants right at the Visitor Center. Members included Bill and Marie Blunk, Tim Anderson, Anna Hansen-Lane, Cecelia Notess, Donna Gans and Carolyn Remmel. We saw many spring blooms including several varieties of orchids and checked off all of the top 15 flowers on our list. The rain even held off until we were back at our cars. Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album? Please forward them to Tim Anderson at twamontana@gmail.com. Please note that we prefer to receive the photos in approximately 640x480 or 750x500 pixels - do NOT send original high-res photos. If you have a LOT of photos, please submit up to twenty of your favorites (only) for a day event, or up to forty of your favourites for a multi-day event. Thank you. |
