Write Up:
What a great day! We started on the Scenic Point trail a little after 8:00 and tagged "Scenic Peak" and Medicine before attaining the summit of Mt. Henry. Most of the 14 GMSers came up the arete route and the rest came up the gully route. Probably due to the great weather and awesome spring like snow-in-the-mountains views, levity was running rampant. Everyone got a big laugh when Paul pulled out of his pack a huge super sized spam submarine sandwich large enough to feed half a platoon. After reluctantly leaving Henry's summit, most of the group went on to the top of Appistoki. A few of us decided that the day was full enough and headed down. We were all back at the parking lot around 4:30 enjoying fried chicken and other treats. Life just doesn't get much better than the day we had. In attendance were Paul Cogswell, Sue Shannon, Joe Schletz, Rod Graham, Denis & Shirley Twohig, Dennis Eaves, Blake Passmore, Keith Kratzer, Franz Barthel, Don Arthur, Jim Boyer, Ron Gruber, Ken McDermott.
