Write Up:
Four new members and one Dave Kuenzli joined me for a romp up Calf Robe. We took the NE Ridge route up and descended to Firebrand Pass via scree slopes which worked well. The official trail to Firebrand Pass was blocked by a large snow field; we sit and watched while someone attempted to cross a smaller one, and proceeded to slide to the bottom, thankfully appeared to be unharmed. Several bighorn sheep were descending the headwall of the mountain as we were ascending through the cliff break. Showers were dancing around the mountain but we never got hit too bad. Most excellent day with a great group of folks..
