Write Up:
A mixed group of GMS and The Rocky Mountaineers summitted the highest point in the Bitterroots on a beautiful day. Dennis Bonawitz, Stefanie Cavelea, Cole Schneider, and Gail and Dell Meuchel joined TRM members Larry Abramson, Claire Croft, Tommy Jensen, and Zack Irwin for the climb. We chose the Baker Lake/ Gem Lake route for the scenery and were not disappointed. Dramatic granite cliffs and deep blue lakes were our reward. Most intriguing was the view of North Trapper from Trapper's summit. North Trapper looks unclimbable. We tailgated at the trail head enjoying Gail's homemade salsa.
