Write Up:
What started as an adventure with 11 climbers turned out to be a beautiful journey with 3. Led by Lou Hatch, Greg Notess , and Dell Meuchel ventured to the Holland Lake Lookout on a sunny day. From the trail head we follow an excellent trail up towards the lookout with occasional glimpses of Holland Lake and the Swan Valley. At the lookout we were treated to somewhat smokey views of McDonald Peak in the Missions to the west. Holland Peak dominated the southern skyline and the “Bob” reached far to the east. There was a small cabin near the old lookout location which looked to be newly renovated. We continued out trip into the “Bob” following the Necklace Lake Trail in a loop back to the lookout trail. It was a wonderful day with two great companions.
