Write Up:
A-team crew today summitted Lone Walker! Partly sunny and typical Two Med SW wind. Used 08:00 boat. Upper Two Med Lake choppy. Wade took 1 hr. Moderate bushwhack to scree slope. Uphill traverse to cliff wall. We missed the entrance to the ramp. Spent 30 mins scrambling class 4 until great teamwork realized our error and we retreated to find the correct entrance. Ramp is fun class 3. Saddle then up N. ridge was more scrambling than anticipated. As we neared the summit block, we found the "key hole" and lichen rock on the N. side. But one must scramble/circumnavigate the block west, then south through a slot, then back east to find fun, scrambly class 3+ couloir. Then class 3 scramble to summit. 8:30 hours from upper lake to upper lake. Add 1:30 for the 2 mi RT from boat dock to upper lake. Missed 17:15 last boat and hiked S. Trail (N. closed) back to parking. Consider an earlier start and planning to take boat for return when you're tired.
