Write Up:
The pass was mighty windy and a bit intimidating at the parking lot but that's fairly normal. Things calmed down once we got going through the trees. We had a nice time of it for the first 2-2.5 miles before we clambered up and down a gully and stream and then through a debris field of downfall. At a break during the tree/log obstacle course it was decided to play it safe and turn around the way we came. There was some disappointment at this juncture however our pace was not as brisk as hoped for. However the return trip was enjoyable and I believe the group was in good spirits as we neared our vehicles. As the wind had picked up once again we were tired and happy as we drove away.
