Write Up:
Gordon Edwards Day found nine GMS climbers on their way to Medicine Grizzly. Kevin Thomas, Justin Heinrichs, Bill Schultz, Greg Pagano, Quinn Fitzpatrick, Kirsten Kellard and Ron Lytle joined coordinators Dell and Gail Meuchel for the journey. I can’t say more about this group. Adventuresome, energetic, patient and supportive of each other. The Medicine Grizzly Lake trail approach proved to be quite challenging. An in your face bushwhack. The summit block proved to be an up and down puzzle forcing the group to a northwest successful assault. Our down route was via the Morning Star Lake. The waterfall was full and tedious. The “pucker” factor was in high gear. We arrived at the Cut Bank trail head 13 hours, 15 miles, and 4500 feet later. I want to thank this great group. In particular Quinn and Kevin who took the lead and waited while the group forged ahead. All enjoyed Gail’s salsa and chips to conclude the event.
