Write Up:
Great group for a 4th of July climb. No issue with parking due to most of Many Glacier trails still being closed due to flooding earlier in the week. The trail had opened to Ptarmigan Falls the day before, allowing us to go. We ended up bailing on Crowfeet because the wind was so extreme. Could barely stand on the summit and were bracing against the frequent gusts all day. We lost track of the number of times people were knocked over by gusts. Was hard on folks with contacts and hearing aids too. Much fun still had by all and we enjoyed the scrambling and geology along the way. Celebrated the holiday with root beer floats on the porch afterwards.
