Write Up:
Mount Marston Lookout is Lincoln County, south of Eureka just adjacent to Dickey Lake. Mt. Marston Trail (361) offers a day hike to Mt. Marston. The hike is fairly gradual and winds through the forest and up the mountain. We started our day at 8:00 a.m. and ended around 5:30 p.m. Leslie Kermath was a joy to have along with vast knowledge of the flowers and berry bearing plants. This climb was very educational as well as getting to know each other and building stronger friendships. The higher we got we got a great view of the aqua blue color of Dickey Lake and the Tobacco Valley. We got to the summit and meeting the Forest Ranger on duty watching a couple of local fires in the area. Beautiful day but little smoking to have a grandview of the area.
